We are starting our two weeks of testing after a different but fun summer in which we have gained the pulse of confinement. The children have been able to learn and have fun with online English classes for children. In addition, they have met new friends all over Spain! Virtuality allowed us to open our digital doors to children from Madrid, Bilbao, Segovia, Extremadura, Asturias and Zaragoza, among many other places where the Great Little People classes reached.
Do you want to know a little about our tour this summer? We can only show you the tip of the iceberg of an enormous busy route. Of course, all of these animals also appeared in the Storytelling of each week, whose objective is the acquisition of English. For example: “The taste of the moon”.
Also, during virtual classes in English children have become detectives to investigate everything they have learned. In these sessions, the acquisition focused on learning different professions and therefore, We visit museums In a gymkhana we become artists! With plastic glasses, a beret and a brush, we made monumental masterpieces in the style of Dalí or Frida Kalho. Some professions were terrestrial but others were galactic! In the Eat Corner, there was a time to become chefs and prepare different healthy and fun recipes. Before each one of them, we remember the necessary hygiene habits necessary for this new start of the cycle.
We can't forget everything we learned in the Phonics Corner! During the classes, new phonemes were incorporated and thus we met new characters. When learning the “E” sound we discovered a new song about “Elisabeth” and played with the bilabial sounds of “M”, “S” and “H” among many others. Each of them was accompanied by a new song.
At the active corner we did psychomotor sessions where we incorporated what we learned into the new vocabulary: we danced to a song about job complements and jumped and played “move and freeze”.
